Amending Budgets

The death knell is sounding loud and clear for out of control costs that bear little relation to budgets. Estimated costs are not set in stone but almost as good as – unless you have a very ‘good reason’ for change, on assessment those sums are not likely to be altered. As we begin to see increasing inflexibility when it comes to costs budgeting and the failure to meet estimates, how can firms deal with the rather mercurial nature of legal costs without ending up working for free?
